The idea for this project began in the summer of 2019 when I attended the USATA TA conference in North Carolina. I thought it would be good to give a flavour of the conference to those who were not lucky enough to attend.
A couple of years later and a more ambitious idea has taken over. We are all busy people, and podcasts are a way of life for many. They give us the opportunity to learn something of interest while doing other things - like driving or gardening. And for those of you working towards TA exams, listening to podcasts are a good way of learning and revisiting aspects of TA theory.
I have always been passionate about making learning accessible, and I understand that many people cannot afford to subscribe to all the TA organisations, or buy all the books available. So, in my evolving podcast series, I offer a synopsis of an article, adding my own thoughts and ideas, critiquing, reviewing, explaining as a way of opening up audiences for the writers, and giving people more access to a broad range of material. I will also be offering my own material in podcast form, and will accompany the series with theory papers which will focus on specific areas of the TA canon.
I hope you agree that it is a good idea, and if you do - please spread the word!
