During the Covid 19 pandemic, we turned to the internet to connect with other people like never before.
I had been delivering training and supervision via Zoom since 2016, and prior to that, through Skype. Necessity being the mother of invention, new creative ways to stimulate interest, secure understanding and provide a platform for discussion were developed and enjoyed.
Online training and supervision is cost-effective, accessible for most, and kinder to the planet.
I now run open programmes for coaches and trainers, and also occasionally in-house programmes for leadership teams etc. The opportunities to collaborate are endless and working in this way allows friendships to form across the world.
The pandemic has receded (for now), and still the benefits of online TA learning and supervision remain. Whether you are interested in supervision, coaching, podcasts or application of the rich theory - you will find it here at TA Tribe.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychological approach to human behaviour. It offers a framework of concepts which fit together to help us understand what drives us. As individuals, we can apply these concepts to improve our confidence, our communication skills and to enhance relationships. Once we understand how we get into repeating patterns of behaviour which do not serve us well, we can work out strategies to break the cycle and develop richer, rewarding relationships.
TA has theories for individual development, and also some ideas on group dynamics which can be applied to teams, departments and whole companies too. These concepts help us to understand the dynamics between us and other people - starting with what is going on inside us - and why?
TA has four fields of application - it began with psychotherapy, and three other fields were added later: organisational, counselling and education.
I have always had a problem with the 'fields' situation - as a leadership educator I teach individual teams in organisations and I often find myself counselling when coaching. I am always mindful of the contract and I do not stray into psychotherapy - but often the insights clients gain help them to heal.
TA in organisations is different to the other fields because it is multi-faceted, multi-dimensional. Which is why I now refer to myself as a Systemic TA Practitioner, applying Systemic TA in the organisational context.
