Introduction to TA (101)

Core concepts - a psychological approach to communication

Transactional what??

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a framework of psychological models and concepts for coaches, trainers, youth and social workers, consultants, teachers, managers ..... so - particularly for those who work in the "helping professions", but also for anybody who wants to know more about human behaviour.

It can be applied in a variety of situations, as a way to "unpick" what is happening between two people, or a group dynamic.

Some people attend the two day 101 introductory workshop for TA and find it is enough for them to help them with their relationships, both personal and professional.

Others, practitioners in the coaching or consultancy fields, teachers, trainers etc often decide to learn more, to enable their own development and to share with others to develop themselves.  There is a qualification route for those who are interested in exploring further.

Beginning your TA journey

The 101 introductory workshop is internationally accredited through the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA).

EATA currently has a membership of almost 9,000 individuals from the UK across to the Ukraine, and from Finland to Italy.

The core concepts of TA are covered in the TA 101 workshop.

Models to help you understand yourself, other people, and what goes on in relationships.

Many of the concepts may be familiar to you - we cover psychological contracting - a process for clarity in terms of what is being agreed between people.

Some people have heard of the "ok corral" - a model to explain how we develop our views on the world.

Strokes, Ego States, Rackets - and more - concepts to explore the human dynamic.

TAOnline

Contact As the 101 has a prescribed syllabus, in order to maintain international standards, 12 hours of trainer contact are required.

TA Tribe provides this learning in 2 x 6 hour online workshops.

Participants will receive a comprehensive workbook which accompanies the programme, and provides background reading for you to read at your leisure.

Not everybody is able to travel to the trainer. In this day and age of amazing possibilities for connection, technological advances mean  we can condense our learning opportunities, cut out travel time and cost, overnight accommodation costs etc and learn from the comfort of our own office or home.

What are you waiting for?  Click here for information on how to join an online workshop  or here for a booking form.
