Working it out
As children, we need to make-meaning of all the information we absorb, to make sense of our world. We are bombarded with parental messages which we take on board from an early age and make decisions about what this information is telling us about our place in the world.
Steiner (1966) built on Berne's work to help practitioners map those messages onto what he termed a Script Matrix. TA writers since have updated and developed script work further. Fanita English says that script can be an asset, a guide for us to improvise within. |
In 2012, Hay developed the Autonomy Matrix - a 'reparenting' approach and a developmental model on which to map positive messages and guidance.
Melding the ideas of English and Hay, this workshop will give the participant space to identify what is holding them back or holding back a client - in order to develop an Autonomy Matrix from which to improvise. Some understanding of Script and the Script Matrix would be helpful, but is not essential. |
