The Racket System

Book your tutorial here
"For behind each racket, however phoney it may seem, there are real feelings or perceptions of another kind which the individual is not allowing himself to be aware of in the present because they were prohibited in the past"

Fanita English (1971)
Human beings are not robots. We experience emotions, feel our feelings and can get stuck in closed loop systems where we are creating our own reality, based on inauthentic feelings and manipulating the world to give us what we expect.  Even when what we expect is uncomfortable, embarrassing, undermining or downright miserable.

We learn from the big people in our lives what emotions are acceptable and which ones are not acceptable in our family.  We learn to mask our real feelings in order to fit in.
