Process Scripts and The Miniscript

“If a person changes driver-formed sentences,  he may change his whole life (process) script.” Kahler (1974)

Process Scripts

Process scripts are the script themes which will help a Coach identify repeating patterns of behaviour which appear to be following a theme.

Once you are aware, through observation and keen listening you will understand the patterns which lead your client into self-fulfilling prophecy spirals of repeated patterns of behaviour.  The next step is to develop interventions for permissions and allowers to help your client break the patterns.

The Miniscript

In TA After Eric Berne (1977) Taibi Kahler and Hedges Capers describe a process whereby we reinforce our script pattern.  We can move through this process very quickly, many times a day.

Imagine the damage that level of reinforcement of thoughts and feelings which are harmful to our development can cause!  Think about the cumulative effect of such a harmful (or even mildly negative) process can have on a developing personality.

The good news is that if we are aware of what is happening, we can change the pattern to a more positive one.  Coaches, trainers and leaders can with practice learn this technique and teach others.

Prior knowledge of script, drivers and injunctions is a prerequisite of attendance.

Possible objectives
  • to gain insight and understanding of the process
  • to examine script patterns
  • to consider how to work with your clients using the Miniscript
