Human Beings Being Human
".. For behind each racket, however phony it may seem, there are real feelings or perceptions of another kind which the individual is not allowing himself to be aware of in the present because they were prohibited in the past"
English (1971) Human beings are not robots. We experience emotions, feel our feelings and can get stuck in closed loop systems where we are creating our own reality, based on inauthentic feelings and manipulating the world to give us what we expect.
Are you living life in a trance? Exhausting!

Psychological Games
“Sets of ulterior transactions, repetitive in nature with a well-defined psychological payoff”
Berne (1972) Human beings get into 'stuff' with each other - some trivial or mildly upsetting, to some with disasterous consequences.
These dynamics can be played out within personal relationships, or within teams and individuals in a workplace setting. The result can be a loss of productivity, a loss of good staff and/or a loss of wellbeing. How to avoid the traps set by others, and how to avoid setting traps ....

Group Dynamics
"… the group is probably the most potent vehicle for individual and societal change"
Clarkson (1991) Group process can be fascinating - how a team works together (or not), who emerges as leaders, specialists, team players, etc to help the team achieve its purpose.
How does the group deal with problems whether to do with members, other teams or outside influences? How does a leader manage the dynamics in a way which encourages success? Some organisational systems are tough, we spend a great deal of our lives in our working environment - 'tremendous team rather than 'toxic' is to be preferred!
