In 2007 Laurie Hawkes wrote an article showcasing the work of Gysa Jaoui who had been a leading figure in Transactional Analysis in France.
In the article, she says that the work of the Gouldings on Injunctions held a "central role" for understanding script. Describing clients in terms of injunctions provided a pretty good grasp on their problems in life. She goes on to say that Jaoui's work allowed people to see that it was possible to work with the injunctions (rather than conveying a sense of defeat and nothing can be done about it. Take this opportunity to stand in the middle of the wheel and identify how far you can go before you 'block' yourself. |
