DEEP DIVE TUTORIALS

Organisational Games

Book your tutorial here

Introduction

The Game Pentagon analyses games from the external point of view, rather than an internal intrapsychic point of view.  It offers a model of games being played consciously and unconsciously, and connects the roles of an unfolding social event with the underlying dynamics and with the roles and switches in a game.

There are five roles on The Pentagon:
  • The Stage Manager
  • The Spectator
  • The Sniper
  • The Saviour
  • The Scapegoat.

Prior knowledge of The Drama Triangle would be helpful for this tutorial.

Possible objectives:

  • to explore the roles and the positions on the Pentagon
  • to understand Summerton's ideas on organisational games
  • to apply to an organisation know to you
