Here we go again .....
How would you feel if you knew you had a chance to fill in any gaps in your development - that we get more chances in this respect the older we get?
Cycles of Development shows at different stages in our growth we have different tasks to achieve. If we do not manage to achieve them the first time round, we can do them next time - providing we are aware enough to recognise what needs to be done. Pam Levin's model was devised as a result of clinical observation conducted by her over a period of years. |
She conceptualises her findings by describing a life cycle composed of six stages, which return to the beginning during the seventh.
The cycle begins from the moment we are born and completes it's first revolution at 19 years of age. As we recycle through the equivalent period in later life, we have a chance to repair damage and complete developmental tasks - so long as we do not use the same strategies we have used before ....... |
